Every year, 22nd September - Autumnal Equinox is celebrated as the World Energy Storage Day (WESD) when the day and night are approximately of equal duration.
With a rising focus on the effective integration of renewable energy, the importance of electric vehicles, and a reliable, resilient energy supply, energy storage is becoming an increasingly important tool in the electricity ecosystem.
With Energy Storage rising to the forefront of industry developments, World Energy Storage Day is commemorated on 22nd September every year by various global industry stakeholders, policymakers, think tanks, and associations to acknowledge its importance across the globe.
This year, the day was celebrated as an online 7th WESD- Global Conference and Virtual Expo that witnessed 100+ industry leaders, 10,000+ Organizations, and 100+ partners in a 24-hour insightful conference, deliberating on the ongoing policy, manufacturing, and supply chain, industry trends & initiatives in stationary energy storage, e-mobility, green hydrogen sectors in Asia, Europe, the Middle East, and Africa and the Americas.
